Here's a pair of desert scheme 109 G-2s
First is from II/Jg 27 flown by Hauptmann Gustav Rodel. This aircraft sports the rare triple chevron markings of a Gruppenkommandeur.

Nice! Good to see people adding!

Those are awesome!
Just curious though... are the Balkenkreuz on the wings correct? :headscratch: They seem really dark.
-
Well... they were black...
-
mmhhmm of course! I thought they were white...
-
Nice :aok
-
Hurray I always wanted that second skin.
-
Thanks guys.
Anybody know how to adjust the materials file so I can tone down the sheen on these skins?
Triple chevron looks like a shiny penny.

:aok
I notice in that picture the Balkenkreuz doesn't have the black outline.
-
Yep, plus he will have to match up the wings with what they look like in the photo. Not bad though, a little touch up here and there, should be good to go.

Great pic! :aok Tweaking the wing cammo and crosses now. Is there an associated caption for that photo that names the pilot?
-
Not that I have seen. I have looked around some, but its not named on who piloted this Bf-109
-
Looks like the rudder wasn't white either.
