Title: Bf 109G-2 trop Jg 27 and Jg 77
Post by: Devil 505 on March 06, 2012, 07:58:14 PM
Here's a pair of desert scheme 109 G-2s

First is from II/Jg 27 flown by Hauptmann Gustav Rodel. This aircraft sports the rare triple chevron markings of a Gruppenkommandeur.

Next is a uniquely painted 109 from 2./Jg 77, pilot unknown.

Awesome.

Cool to finally see the 77 skin. Going to make north africa campaigns lots of fun.

Those are awesome!

Just curious though... are the Balkenkreuz on the wings correct?  :headscratch: They seem really dark.

Thanks guys.
Anybody know how to adjust the materials file so I can tone down the sheen on these skins?
Triple chevron looks like a shiny penny.

I notice in that picture the Balkenkreuz doesn't have the black outline.

Yep, plus he will have to match up the wings with what they look like in the photo. Not bad though, a little touch up here and there, should be good to go.

Great pic!  :aok Tweaking the wing cammo and crosses now. Is there an associated caption for that photo that names the pilot?

Looks like the rudder wasn't white either.
