Title: Bf 109K-4 pilots -- the Fatherland needs you!
Post by: Brooke on March 06, 2012, 11:23:55 PM
The next scenario "Winter Sky -- Death Ground" needs Bf 109K-4 pilots (or G-14 if you prefer).

Come join us to treat the allied air forces to some delicious 30 mm "potatoes"!  :aok

Is that the phrase they are using for "flying a Mustang" these days?  ;)

Previous moment in that fight:

Interestingly, that 30 mm only took off his wingtip.  The final taking off of the wing was done with MG's only, as I had run out of 30 mm.

Mmmm, if only there were a 109 staffel of JG11 in this one. Oh well, I'll settle for a Dora.

Sweet pics Brooke, and +1 on the skin choice!  :aok  :salute

Sorry Brooke, but I've been observing a devout minority of FWers have be steadily and successfully converting many a wayward lawndart-O-nine pilot the past few tours.  I'm not saying there still aren't plenty out there to be had, there's just a lot less of them than there was before.  (besides, our hair dryers go above 425 mph while still allowing us precise and exquisite lift and perm control without any excessive trim)  :devil   :aok

That's funny, seeing as I went from 190's to the 109.

No problem -- we can all be friends, as it turns out that the 190D-9 and the 109K-4 (and G-14) are *all* excellent aircraft!  :aok

Fun fact, those are not Iron Crosses on the German planes, those are + signs meaning that the plane and pilot are superior.

I see plenty of 109K-4's in the MA kicking butt.  So, I know there are many K-4 pilots out there.  To them, there is only one thing to say:

"Time to get your tail into a K-4 for this scenario, Francis!"
