I was 10 when my 14 year old brother fell from a bridge to his death, he was my hero, my best friend, the only one in my family that did not treat me badly......
I am 42 now....the pain will never go away, or lessen.
the only way I have been able to get beyond is to realize that he was just to good for this world.
stay strong :salute

<S> greens, sorry for your loss. Thankfully I haven't lost anyone close to me, but my grandfather has been having heart problems, and had a scare with a heart-attack this past summer. Scared the crap out of me, as it wasn't untill then that truely I realized he won't be around forever. I mean I knew this intelectually, but untill something serious happens, you don't really KNOW it in your heart.
I guess I'm just approaching the age when life stops giving, and starts taking away.

It's been seven months? :O :( Though losing your brother must have really hurt you on, it's time to get help- there's no shame in it, sometimes you just can't get over a loss. It isn't your fault that he died or that you're in so much pain, so go get some grief counseling so that you can deal with the loss and move on with your life. Your brother in law, if he were able to observe you, would surely approve of that. Until then, talking about the deceased helps to dull the ache, so shoot one of your buddies a PM and try to vent off some of the grief to hold you over until you can get a real examination.
Good luck! :salute
