Sounds to me like yall just wanna clutter up the chat buffer. There's a reason it's limited at eight. I don't want to be looking around the chat for five seconds trying to find what you said squished between your name and three others. A name should be simple anyway, it doesn't make any sense to me to use an entire phrase as your name.

Half the time when I don't warn people of an aircraft that's about to shoot them down is because it takes to long to figure out how to pronounce their name. Names should be short or simple to pronounce.
So I see no reason to limit people with 8 characters but I think it's in your best interest not to make long names.

The best name if more than 8 characters allowed would be "SurroundedByRedPlanesAgain".
