so, if I see the collision, but the other guy doesnt...I get a collision message and he flies off. Due to differences in the internet, correct?
If I shoot the bottom side of a spit16, right below cockpit...to the left wing root...and down the left wing...and he flies off with a radiator hit. does that mean he saw a hit to the radiator (front end of airplane)?
Or when I watch myself got shot in the tail of a G6, but I get an oil hit? the nme saw a hit to front of my plane, but my computer saw the hit to the tail?

Damage to your plane is whatever happened from their point of view with guns and your point of view with collisions.

You hit bogies wing on your FE then he gets at hit report via server that his wing has been hit the quantum of the damage is then added to his "damage" incurred to date regarding that component. If the component (that part of the wing you hit) has incurred damage beyond a preset threshold it then fails.
This is all Gud IMO.
It can lead to some stuff happening which seems a bit wierd.
E.g on your FE bogie has fired at you from one angle yet the damage incurred looks like he fired from another. ( very common when aircraft cross under hard manouvering) and the old nutmeg of bogie firing at you during a head on whereby he was the only one to incurr a " you have collided" message yet you seem to have incurred damage (actually he got hits on you prior and as {on his FE} he passed thru your plane).

Here it is on film.

Notice that the Dora didn't hit my spitfire on my front end I made a clean escape but you still see a hit sprite on my plane after he separates from me.
On his front end he hit me, so that data had to come back to my front end after the fact.

i thought the radiators were in the wings. :headscratch:

In most planes they are, if you're in a dora the radiator is located wherever the bullet made contact with your plane.
