Plus you can use texture packs but because of the 20+ mods i'm running I sorta can't use em so I gotta use default *insert sad face*

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play. How about a nice game of chess?

Having no idea what it is, much less having no interest in finding out it does remind me of Pitfall except with worse graphics. And why there weren't any Jeeps in the game.

The amount of geometry, physics, and checks that Minecraft does is astounding.  It also generates random terrain in real time as you walk, complete with fluid dynamics and lighting.  The graphics could be better, but even well-built computers groan under the load.

It's even better with the increase in the world height.  My opinion on it is, they should have increased world depth as well.  But with this increase in height, you will start seeing some truly MASSIVE builds, especially if the Super Flat world option is used (if what I've gathered about it is correct that is).

For the Caption:

"THIS is why you don't let ME drive the Jeep..."

Wasn't to thrilled about 1.2 so many bugs i've read on, love the height increase and cats, those were what I was mainly rooting for, but I'm forced to stick with 1.1 until all the mods update like IC2, vehicle and guns, and food mod and a few other small ones like the book mod and hot air balloon, probably gonna be stuck for a while but hey I can wait

Ugh, I know that feeling. We run Bukkit and they're some of the slowest people to update I've ever seen, makes MS look good at times. Still only on the second Dev build of it and plugin creators have been right on their tails with their own updates. Big updates are a royal pain, means Servers are either down or not updated for a while, and when ya have 10-30 people who don't understand that...it gets old fast. Sure hope they get it over with soon, creeping up on the dates for my plans for the server. :uhoh

I'm considering buying a slot this summer for minecraft, my internet connection is to slow to have alot of people on, and I realize that getting a high performance computer won't do anything, can I buy one that doesn't do plug ins but rather just normal smp mods?

Yes. The host we have allows some of the best support for things like that that I've seen (we've been through a fair few now). Can use Bukkit and related mods, clean jar, Technic jar, or a custom jar (have to email them about custom ones).

Some previews of how it looks, options:

They're always quick to respond to any questions ya might have such as how to setup the mods.

Hopefully i'll be making around 240 a week, so I think I can put aside a little to run a pretty basic server, my computer is awesome but that upload speed is just killing me

I'm still a little confused, can I put mods on a server if they are in the mods folder on my server folder? Cause I have 2 mods on my server jar, then 10 in my mods folder, and I prefer whats in the mod folder, books, ic2, mo' food, etc

Maybe I have been out of the SMP Mods for too long, thought they went right into the Server.jar itself? If there's more steps I wouldn't know how exactly that would work as I only use Bukkit anymore. If you Email (or wait til morning and use live chat) the MCProHosting support they could answer any questions about whether it will work. Less ya mail em at midnight they usually respond in under an hour. :)
I've been tempted to use SMP mods, but never got into it, so I'm not too much help really. But being that they have had jars up that are SMP Mods, I'd assume it's possible.

Never used a bukkit server, or been on one, only thing I know is smp mods, pain for people ot get on cause they have to have every single one installed to get on, but its worth it, the smp mods are much more in depth then what plugins can do currently, but from what I hear with Bukkit joining Mojang the future of mods is bound to be plugins only.

with the jar, when you install modloader if mkes a new folder called mods, you drag a zip'd mod (if told to do so) and put it in mods folder and it runs the mod automatically, its easier cause all you have to do is swap out zip files when stuff updates
