I wish to thank all who were part of the Northern strike(sub strike package A). We were tasked with hitting Port 68, and the 325th was to hit the strats at 11,18,7 and 11,18,8. We kept all the Buffs together in an effort to maximize security and dropped on our targtets by squad. The 325th showed their usual proffesionalism, keeping tight formations and keeping vox chatter to only the neccessary info.
Our escorts were fantastic, LCA, 353rd and 132DW kept us safe into and out of the Target area, and were always in sight. Hats off to the luftwaffe interceptors who cut through us and showed great tenacity in their pursuit.
We lost a few bombers, but casualties were to be expected, but most of us made it back safely.
This was a great FSO, scenarios like this are awesome, well done by all involved, Allied and Axis :salute

If you are talking about the far north, to my knowledge the escorts were pretty ineffective. Apparently the bombers were good gunners unfortunately and beat up our 110s.
I wanted the fighters to tangle with escorts before the 110s showed up to clean bombers. All went according to plan except the 110s had a semi-difficult time killing the bombers (common result throughout the event). Was fun indeed however <S>.

Actually the fighters were not "ineffective". The(their) plan was not to let our cover go chasing fighters and dogfighting. They chased them down and away, downing them if possible, and quickly returning to the Bombers. We have some good buff gunners and they were able to dispatch some of the attackers. As I said before, we did lose some Bombers, but it could have been worse if our escorts werent running interference.
