Seems to have been changed for the worse. it was perfectly fine before, but after the last patch or the patch before that, it now snaps around. :Thumbs Down:
it's beyond frustrating.. leaving this plane in the hanger till it returns to normal.

The problem (as it appears to me) is that they changed the cockpit shape. It's now "teardrop" shaped instead of "square" as far as the area you can move your head is concerned. Basically we've lost the ability to move our view left or right while our (reversed) head is up against the seat.
I know it's annoying but if you move your head back a little bit (away from the monitor) then you can shift your view to the left or right smoothly.
I really hope this is a bug and not intentionally set this way.

just noticed the same thing in a p51.

there is another thread discussing this in bugs. I'm not able to recreate it myself but I'm curious to find any common denominators among those who are having trouble. Are you all using the 3 reflector hat clips?

It seems like your movement is restricted before the canopy gets narrow so I expect they'll adjust it.

Don't know if it's a feature or not, but it seems if your head is pressed against a boundery, it "sticks" and won't slide along the boundery. Maybe there's is a "friction" co-efficient.
Love that the cockpit shapes have been updated, because it creates much more space to move around in and get much better views with TrackIR. It would be great if the ability to slide along a boundery were improved. :salute

It's not a TrackIR problem it's an Aces High problem. If you're looking behind you and your head is "against the seat" then you can't shift your view to the left or to the right to look around the seat. If you move your head away from the seat even a little bit then it works fine. This didn't start to happen until Patch 4.
It's not a huge deal but it does become a bit of a pain when you need to whip your view around real quick and don't have time to think about a workaround solution.

It's not something I've noticed, but I haven't flown bubble canopy birds much lately. Just wondering, can you turn off trackIR with f9, hit a view button and release it to center it, then move your head forward a tap or two with the up arrow, hit f10 to save the position, and then reenable trackIR and have the views work again the way you want? If it works, you'd just need to do that for the all the planes giving you trouble.
I'm just trying to think of a workaround based on what you guys are describing until they fix it.
Wiley.

i'm assuming you don't have Z axis enabled. the only one i disable is Y.
