Title: Google maps
Post by: Ninthmessiah on March 19, 2012, 02:29:25 AM
Just wish I could zoom the map with my mousewheel when looking at the map.  Problem is that I have it bound to something else.  The world is not perfect.  Sad panda.

Can't you program it to your mouse wheel?

Mousewheel is an analog input and can only be bound as such...  or so it seems unless somebody knows another way.

Analog inputs can be mapped to key presses now.

Um... if I think I know what you're talking about, those options aren't available for the mousewheel like they are for sticks, ruddder, etc.  If I don't know what you're talking about, how do I bind a mousewheel tick to Insert or Delete?

Sorry I thought you were saying the mouse wheel appeared as a regular analog input.

If you set a key or button to shift between control modes you can use any button currently assigned to something else for map zoom. Copy mode 1 to mode 3 and set the button to shift to mode 3 when you're in mode 1 and in mode 3 set it to shift back to mode 1. This lets you shift any controller or button to a different function and back again with a button press.

+1 on the wish, also, if it could zoom where the cursor is and not just the center that would be a blast. :rock

Did you try to adjust it with scaling?

point is its a on1 off on2 type of thing not a constant moving axis like the y and x axis dose

Yes that's the point. It lets you use an analog axis as a 2 or 3 position switch. You are complaining that it works like it's supposed to.
