Title: G4M1 Autopilot/Engine Torque
Post by: USAF2010 on March 20, 2012, 06:14:16 PM
Been flying the Betty quite a bit lately, and noticed that as I climb out on autopilot for long missions, the plane seems to slowly divert its course in a very, very shallow left-handed curve.

Also in the bombsight, it seems to also push left a tad bit.

Has anyone else experienced this, and if so can it be explained?

It was the very first thing I've noticed about the Betty when it was released. :(  I want to say engine torque, since the Typhoon does the same thing but, when you drop out of auto climb, then go right back into it, the Typhoon seems to stop with the drift.  The Betty however, just keeps drifting.

It looks like the Betty has a slight left yaw in all auto pilot modes and a slight left roll in combat trim. I expect the auto pilot control positions need to be adjusted.
