What do you fellas think about an arena for just the GV player's? I know it would cut down on the use of the word "bomb****". Just a thought and probably would never happen anyway. However, World of Tanks might change some minds. :headscratch:

Tank town is fun on the Trinity map, however nobody ever tanks there - which is sad its quite a fun place to tank.

Pretty sure tank commanders didn't go jump in a formation of Lancs and dive bomb the guy who's been kicking their but all night either. :D

Didn't they just ring up a forward air controller and a flight of Tiffies or Jugs showed up?
Everyone in the ETO rang up some kind of a tank buster at some point during 1939-45.
In our game the tankers can ring up a wirble or fighters to cover their kesters.
Hmmmmm, so how many arenas should we have now?
1.} Dedicated arena for GV's - no bombers allowed.
2.} Dedicated arena for CV's - no bombers allowed.
3.} Dedicated arena for Furballing - no bombers allowed.
4.} Dedicated arena for MyPrettyPinkPony Races - no bombers allowed.
5.} Dedicated arena for bombers - no bombers allowed.
6.} Dedicated arena for Manga - no bombers allowed.
7.} Dedicated arena for robo mech - no bombers allowed.
8.} Dedicated arena for troop combat - no bombers allowed.
9.} Dedicated arena for MachX+ jets - no bombers allowed.
10.} Dedicated arena 1946 - no bombers allowed.
I may be mistaken but that kind of describes about 10 games that have gone belly up or drasticly lost subscriptions over the last 20 years. Maybe bombers is a good thing in the final analysis and it's foolish to castrate the game becasue someone got a bomber owchie.
Can we have a "No Hot Sticks" arena so I stop getting fighter owchies?

The AVA had a night for mainly tanks with storches also. I had a blast and more should have showed up although we did have 20+ there. The fighters in the Arena at the time were asked not to bomb and they respected the request.
That said there are arenas that have low populations and good GV fights could be organized there. AVA is cool as there would only be 2 countries fighting. WoT is a tank game and I've played many in the past but will it hold a player base. AH is a flight sim with Gv's throw in adding to the diversity and has held a healthy Base.
If you don't care about score up a new Tank or wirble to counter the Air threat.

Or you could just choose not to play in the GV only arena. I bet your approval is not needed for its success.

there are plenty other games where you can use planes only, vehicles only... so if you want that, why do you stay with a completely interactive MMO with all the aspects of war playable? create a custom arena then :D

HTC just gave all vehicles the invisibility cloak that works 90% of the time.
And Midway, the spitfire is fully capable of taking out armor. It's one of the best tankbusters in the game if you use bombs IMHO.

Not to mention the record numbers of GV flak kills that get landed non-stop.
Crabbing that you can't just Tiger it up with impunity for hours on end is akin to buffs crabbing about enemy fighters over the target.
Grab a buddy. And a helmet. Or... enjoy that swirling miasma of suck that is called World of Tanks.

anytime you guys see a map you like in the AVA, contact me or one of the other admins for the AVA and let us know you'd like to do some sort of tank battle. thursday nights are best in there. if i'm not running something, id be happy to help make sure no one bombs gv's as long as the tanks stay in a specific area. this will allow the planes to fight and bomb each other, and the gv's to do their thing. just one big happy arena!
if you dont know the AVA admins, come in on a tuesday night at 9pm EST. we have our AVA admin squad night at that time. come say hi!

There was nothing more fun than rolling a Jug or Hellkitty and watching folks have a meltdown on Channel 200.
But an Arena like this would have to be akin to watching paint dry. "Hmm, only GV's you say? How about I try to outcamp the campers!"

M1 Tank Platton from Microprose back in the day. I absolutly wore thta game out for sure. Are there any good tanking games out there now?
