Perhaps a secondary VOX channel that we could tune would be helpful. For example: There is a large mission composed of say bombers and jabo/fighters. Radio traffic could be cut if the bombers were on one channel and the fighters on the other instead of everybody tuned to range and squad/mission VOX. A secondary channel could improve a mission leader's communication with his strike group and then his element leaders could broadcast their orders to their select package and not the entire group. On a smaller scale of maybe a fighter sweep, one VOX could be tuned to the entire force and the second could be tuned to your wingman. Just an observation of a bored mind.

+1 in My squad, we have tons of players on channel for our missions (no not the vtards! :D) and often it can be hard to get my message out if there are bogeys inbound to our bombers.

We have other forms of communication than the AH VOX so there is no need for us to have another comm channel.
But still +1 it could be usable other than its just more traffic to deal with.

I would say just coad range vox as a tunable channel. It's a separate vox channel now anyway, so why not let us tune to it or not.

Often there are other friendlies at the same objective but not on the same mission, and often they give check 6 calls on range.

Yes, but good situational awareness is a pilot's responsibility. It's nice to get a check-6, but it's not to be expected, and many times it comes from someone who happens to see a bad guy in your general direction whether it's an immediate threat or not.
I'd rather have the ability to tune out the drunks singing or discussions of "hey did you see the game last night?" and other BS that clogs up range channel a lot. I have a right to not have to listen to that, but still have the ability to hear the other game sounds.

I've always thought this was a good idea. I HATE having to detune squad just to voice PM some noob.
