Ok, first off, I have no idea how you are managing to boot Windows 7 with only 512MB of system RAM.
That computer is pretty old. Windows 7 needs 2GB of system RAM to be able to run most things.
The old NVidia 5500 card is going to be stressed to run the game. It might keep up at the lowest detail settings and if you use a low resolution.

I feel like Ol' Candy from "Of Mice and men".... Its a good old computer.. I raised is from a pup see.. dont make me kill er :cry
Lol rgr Skuzzy, I'll see about buying some more RAM. I'd hate to scrap it all right after buying Windows 7..... :uhoh

You can go here http://www.crucial.com/systemscanner/ and run their scanner. It will scan your computer and let you know how much and what type of ram your computer can take.

I hear you about that but what you have to understand is that any money you spend upgrading this system is pretty much going to be money flushed down the toilet. If you can afford it consider a new system. I'm just being brutally honest here:
1> That's about the best processor it can support
2> It probably maxes out at 2GB (*maybe* 4GB) of ram but that's still only going to compensate for so much
3> That old video card could very possibly be an AGP card.. and if that's the case there really isn't much you can do for an upgrade
4> The power supply on your Gateway is probably barely keeping up with the 5500 video card... let alone anything newer
In a nutshell the only thing you can really do is add more ram and while yes that will help.. it's still only putting a band-aid over the wound. It's a shame that such a good running computer can still become obsolete but that's just how these things are. Unless you can find used RAM in good condition dirt cheap your money is going to be much better spent being saved up for a new system.
