Well while I was in the shower, I thought about how to stop people from bailing the bombers (Not the only thing I thought about :D). What it all comes down to is perks.
1) Either split the perk awards between the three planes.
Ex. 1 would be three perks, 2 would be six perks, 3 would be nine perks.
2) Perk penalty
Ex. Each bomber bailed would reduce the perks by a certain number depending on the obj value, the lower the object value the higher the penalty for bailing. The higher the object value, the lower the penalty. Either that or do it by ENY.

Perks and score are already being hurt a lot by bailing instead of flying home.
Generally speaking, bomb'n'bailers don't care for perks or score, they are just interested in getting in efficiency in tha landgrab game (=eliminating RTB time)
-
I like having the perks divided between the planes that return and would also like the points divided the same way.

The problem I have with such measures is I think it unfairly penalizes bombers who get legitimately shot down.
It occurred to me this morning though, what if there was a perk penalty if you lose a level bomber unless you've at least pinged an aircraft with your guns, put a bomb within x distance of a boat, or gotten hit by an 88?
Seems to me if any of those three things have happened, you were probably shot down legitimately. Arer there other conditions that could be added that would be as hard to abuse?

Lusche hit the nail squarely on the head. Complain all you want about bomb n bailers, make changes all you want to on how it is scored and what not, you will STILL have them do it. Why should "I" get penalized when I get shot down or am forced to bail out? I do not bail from my bomber unless I'm on fire, or missing a tail or wing, or I bloody well screw up and manage to hit enter 3 times. That bit drives me bonkers. :bhead  :bhead I get crap for reward because I hit the Industrial Center of a Capital as my primary. I want to inflict pain after all :D. I've actually started to carpet bomb fields for no other reason than to do it. It is a change that doesn't have me back to the boring hanger/town routine and I get more perks that way if I want perks. Well, more perks than hitting Capital. But now I am to be penalized because the flak over the Capital takes a wing off my lead plane, forcing me to bail and further reducing what LITTLE I get doing what I enjoy?

With the short time it takes to repair damaged structures, it is a wonder that we don't see more and more of this activity.
This morning I knocked out a vehicle hangar on a base that my country mates were attacking. I was shot down trying to regress from the field. I immediately re upped and returned to the base from @ 1 sector away and knocked out a fighter hangar. I was amazed that in the time that took, the vehicle hangar had repaired.

Make aerial kills for bombers a score/perk component. Then they Will have more reason to land.
-
to bad they cannot consider the aircrafts damage at time of bail by pilot

That wouldn't change anything. Just push nose down, you will have a lot of damage in a few moments...

Well usually the bomber bailers bail their drones and keep one plane, that's why I thought the division would be useful. Also what if you combined bomber and fighter perks? People will have 262s for a while but they'll get weeded out.
-
what about fighters that run from bombers ? they should be punished too :ahand

i have been arguing the same thing for years. I say the fair thing would be if a bomber bails within 6k of a plane then fighter gets the kill. but if a fighter then runs from a bomber then the bomber gets the kill.

what flack over the capitol? everytime i go in around 15k, or so, dosent matter if 17s of even a 25 now and then. i have yet to take damage from the puffy :neener:

What makes you think they run from bombers. Perhaps the bomber is just not worth his time. You run from something that can hurt you, the bomber can't hurt you unless you attack him so if it looks like the fighter is "running" from him in reality he just does not care about the bomber's existence.

I think this could add more diversity if you combined the perks.
You would have more bombers (w/ less bailers)
A little less fighters.
Most people would perk farm w/ bombers, therefore there will be a lot more 262s.
But what could possibly go wrong?
