For me it would be the thrill of a tense dogfight or ground battle that pushes my reflexes beyond belief and having to come up with some stuff out of my nether region to fend off one or more enemy and hope to high heaven it succeeds :lol
whats yours guys? :aok

Big red dar or looking out of the tower and seeing enemy GV fire everywhere. Yeehaa! :aok

In a scenario, when all those specks of dust on your monitor start moving, and you're trying to identify them, and you're making sure your group's not too spread out, and checking the map for any potential reinforcements and checking escape routes, then the specks turn into planes, and you see them wingover, and you know not everyone's going to make it home to fly again.

Downing the HQ with a salvo 13 from a lancaster, using the one remaining bomb to kill a M3 resupplying the downed HQ, and making it home.

this is about it. :aok

Getting into fights in FSO. For some reason they seem a lot more intense.

Coming across a co-alt con when I am by myself and so is he, the first merge is clean... And he starts a turn... Then I know I'm going to get a fight. That gets my adrenaline going.

Without a doubt. Nothing gets the blood pumping like that when the history shows up and it feels just a little bit real for those moments when its no longer a computer game. You look off your wing at your wingman and it's not a pixel pilot but the guy on that other computer who is flying with you. The air outside is all of a sudden 60 below, the radio chatter in your ears feeds the imagination and you wait for the moment to engage hoping to come out the other side 'alive'.
Next weekend can't get here soon enough! :)

Nothing like FSO or Scenario events - watching 20 formation of bombers enter from the distance and escorts, the music from secret weapons of the luftwaffe run through your mind.
Whole time my eyes are scanning, mind wondering if I am going to live or die or even get a kill.
No way I will ever top 14 in an event, so my thing now is to simply stay alive :)

You sure it's not Luϟϟche?

Last really fun one in the MA was me in the M vs two Fm2s. Was a prolonged fight that i eventually won. The three yak9s on me the other night was pretty fun too. Put bullets in two of em (maybe the same one twice) before I went down. I'm looking forward to WSDG. It'll be my 1st real scenerio.
-
91st's B17's coming up on a critical drop, bombsight dialed in, cons dropping in at the same time, escorts doing their best to keep us covered- I love a good 20K (or so) firefight! :t

Getting owned like this always pushes my adrenaline level up

I got 2 things, couldn't choose one or another.
Pilot wounded in a 262, engine out, base dar flashing but it's down so you can't see how cose the bandit is, plane chewed to pieces missing parts, and the blackouts keep getting closer and closer together.
FSO flying, 45 minutes of boredom if it weren't for the lively banner on squad teamspeak, and ya spot a cloud of bad guys, turning toward you with a little E advantage, then you merge and try not to descend into chaos as the fear threatens to engulf you.
-
FSO for sure... chatting along, then screaming BANDITS!!! reflexively, with no heading or any other valuable information... just BANDITS! BANDITS! BOOM! hahahahahaha
Too bad FSO bombers = 30+ minutes of flying for 10-20 seconds of the above before "I'm down", regardless of how good a Ju-88/TBM/etc gunner one may be.
Other than that, to-the-wire base caps do it for me... being in an M3 that is airborne from launching off hills trying to get into town before it pops again, hoping it doesn't roll. Or being in that goon and yelling "TROOPS ARE HERE!!" amidst the "this is a bust, guys" and pulling the hammerhead troop drop.
30 minutes into a major bombing run and hearing "Multiple 262s!! Get on your guns boys!"
Good times, good times.

When I take off heading for a good fight, cross over into enemy territory with huge darbar...... and Wife says "can you come help me a minute"?
-
The last 15 minutes before fields open in an FSO where I'm running the arena.
- Is everyone in uniform?
- Quadruple-checking all the settings...did I miss anything?
- 5 minutes to launch...who is 2938893 and does he know who he's flying with? Does he even know what's going on?
- 1 minute to launch...where'd all these new guys just come from? And why hasn't 2938893 answered my PM?
:x

Cruising in enemy territory in my 109f4, just below clouds looking for fights. See a speck way off my wing and high.
I drop the tank and hit WEP and shallow climb.....the speck turns for me...I turn for him.. and.....what is it?......"CRAP!"..it's a Hurri' 2C with 2k over me and 300 in smash....I level off and fly a little wide of him....then gently pull up to meet him as he dives through me.
I know he will be in the tunnel pulling loads of G's at the bottom of the dive as he gets the zoom up to me....I am still in a vert' zoom climb but he will catch me at the top. I get to 100mph throttle back dropsome flap then full throttle to bring my nose round and start a spiral dive that corkscrews around his climb. I want to get above him but need to build speed. If he tries to yaw for the shot at this point I know I can beat him. That was his only chance. If he doesn't and looks after his advantage......I'm in for a real fight!
A high Hurri2c or Spit9 with good sticks are my nemesis.....but the reason I play!

Branch brought this up the other night, and I agree. This is basically what happened to us (VF-17) on Friday.
Those late-frame fights in FSO, where only maybe 20-30 guys per side are still alive, and they're all the best pilots. You expand your patrol to find some action, and find a friendly base flashing. Your section leader decides to go for it, just the three of you, to find out what it is. You find two cons lower than you, and decide to press the advantage. You start mixing it up, pushing lower and lower, when before you know it, you are surrounded by 12-15 high cons, outnumbered 4 to 1. The nearest help is a sector and a half away, and for the next ten minutes all you can do to survive is break and extend. You have lost the initiative in a matter of seconds, and you cannot escape the frenzied pursuers. However as the outcome is looking more and more bleak, you see three flights of friendly fighters who were redirected to help you. Pretty soon, you drive off the attackers and gain superiority once more.
When you emerge from the worst possible situation in FSO without so much as a scratch, that gets the blood pumping
-
I stopped flying FSO when I found the bandits incoming far away from everybody else and couldn't get out a call on vox because it was completely clogged with guys saying "we should be seeing bandits soon" or "how much fuel do you have".
I stopped to type it because of the clogged up vox and oversped my airplane while diving on the 20 or so sitting duck mossies.
