Just a question! Are other squads having problems with disconnects as we are in the Devil Dogs? We seem to be getting booted left and right here lately! 3 times for me yesterday, 5 times for Tazz69 and I could go on and on. Its a real problem to spend all the time I do planning and carrying out missions and then get disco'd right in the middle of the mission. Anyone, including Hi Tech have any ideas? I don't think it is Hi Tech's fault, but one of the com muncations that they have to go through to get to us. I am on Comcast Hi-speed Internet service so I don't think there is a problem there. I guess what I am asking, does anyone have a suggestion as to the problem?

Server maintenance scheduled for tomorrow, maybe that will fix your problem.
-
Not so much now but a few weeks ago it was once or twice a night. Now my issue is my TrackIR.
-
I haven't had any disconnect issues, but I heard for years that Comcast has the worst internet service out there. Also I wondering if you guys use TeamSpeak or some other vox program. Maybe the problem could be that? :headscratch:

I just did some traces and it appears Comcast is having some issues in Chattanooga, TN., which would impact any number of people in the Tennessee, Georgia (possibly some others) areas.

thats comcast for ya, Chareter was having problems a few days ago aswell.

All ISP's have their moments.
-
I'm about to leave comcast. They'll never be a Roadrunner. I gave them plenty of time to ruin a good setup and they did not disappoint.
-
Comcast is like the bear in the honey. "Sting me. Im still taking your honey." They have no incentive to provide quality service.

I appreciate you taking the time to follow up on this disco'd problem, and I am beginning to think everyone is correct about comcast. I decided a few days ago that I was going to talk to someone in "high" management to see if we could get some attention to that as well as problems with email,etc....Forget it!! They have their upper management people so isolated by layers of B.S., it would take a act of congress to get to anyone with any authority! I still enjoy the game and that is the bottom line, even if we have to put up with "carrier" problems getting the game to our homes and businesses.

Verizon FIOS!!!
Ping = 13
25/15
Never a problem. I got an email from their network admin that said, "Dear Mr Changeup, you die a lot in Aces High because you suck, not because of our network. Have a nice day.". Great customer service and a real feel-good company!

I live in the middle of no where on basic internet and I rarely ever disco, only during peak hours in aces high do the servers lag and not me.
-
Rhino in Austin having disco problems also. Using roadrunner. New computer arrives next week.
-
Just to be very clear, since some people confuse 2 terms of disco and ctd.
By disco, you mean you get the message "Host connection lost"?
HiTech
-
I have been quite lucky, I do disco occationally but not on a daily basis. The others in my squad however may disco 2-3 times each in random order during a 3-5 hour timespan of gameplay. It has been rare to see a night without anyone discoing, and it seems like it has gotten worse after the two latest updates?! Might be coincidence though..
They all live in US, I live in Norway.. Don't know if that makes any difference?! :headscratch:
And when I disco, I mean getting the message "host connection lost". And I assume that is what the others get also when they come back saying they discoed again..
Every now and then I notice the message "Lost UDP(or whatever) changing to TCP? TPC? whatever" and some times it works fine again, then again sometimes that is just a 3 sec warning before "host connection lost" appear..
If I at this point see planes around me without icons dropping like stones to the ground I know what comes next. :furious

1] it's HiTech
2] High speed cable is just as susceptible as low speed or even dialup to internet problems. Speed is not the important part, consistency is.
