Curious where that photo is from?
I doubt the Nazi party would have allowed a photo like that to see the light of day during the war. It makes me wonder if that is a photo taken during filming of a movie.
-
It was a scene from "Die Brucke" filmed in 1959.

War sux. Teach your children well.
Its time to man up and stop photo's like that. What I mean by that no one should see the face of war. Its a horrific thing that will make you break into tears, or just not want to remember. Thats my thought of it anyway.
Cheers.

The sympathetic ministerings of a young fellow's First Sargeant. I believe this picture is universal across all nations and all eras. It shows the Army's care and handling of it's privates... :bolt:
Uh oh...I think the poor lad has wet himself...

It's a good movie, true story of a group of German boys conscripted into the German army in the weeks of the war sent to defend a strategically unimportant bridge against Allied attack.

One of the most powerful images from wartime out there. This one happens to be from Korea. I trust you are trying to be funny and doing it poorly, instead of just not having a clue.

Agreed. An extremely powerful photo right there.

Looks like you are an idiot who has no idea what he is talking about.

You've obviously never volunteered to serve and protect others.

He is plainly clueless.

I thought as much. Not that it isn't a powerful image. It just looked fabricated to me.

Not so much as fabricated to me. Because I can guarandamntee you those kids were crying in 1944/45.

No doubt... Well, I work with images for a living and the deep depth of field looks wrong. Compare it to the Koream War image somebody else posted and its very shallow depth of field.

I haven't even served, and even I found that a bit offensive.

You'd have to be pretty brave to be able to cry. Probably everyone wants to at some point. The ones who don't have any emotional response to tragedy are the messed up ones.
I am not trying to be like Penguin or anything just pulling toejam out of my ass. I have no experience in that field of work so far. So tell me if I'm off base, haha.

I think you have a child there who's growing up way too fast.

I'd like to shoot at "bye-bye" until he cries. I figure a pellet gun should do the trick. :t :salute

Gentlemen, please just ignore byebye.

Guppy, that photo is just staggering with it's brutal honesty.
I've seen it before, but it's one of those pics that I didn't really look at closely (probably because I didn't want to be confronted by it). This morning I woke up and actually examined it for several minutes. I'm not ashamed to say that after trying to climb into the heads of the three men in the photo, I was deeply moved.

+1
I thought "Hey there's someone's son and/or little brother".
