So, we have a couple of weeks on this – your invoice number 1080022 – so this should still be covered correct – 9/29/11?

Well Dragon, i guess you're just stupid or ya don't know how math works.

Bought in november, the 9th month, failed in April, the 4th month.  9 minus 4 equals 5.  So he still has a month left.

Quit trying to rip your customers off man, that just ain't right.

If you are going to try and slam someone about their math skills, you might want to ensure yours are up to snuff first....

9-29-11 to 4-16-11 is 199 days.  Roughly 2 2/3 weeks past the warranty.

It was bought in the 9th month, a year has 12 months, so that would be 21 months plus the 4 months of this year makes it 25.  So it's 19 months out of warranty.

Sheesh, I'm going to have to close up shop if I keep giving stuff away.

One I learned from my 9 year old daughter, I never knew this.
For multiples of 9, up to 10x9

eg:
what is 9x3?
here was her answer. I will only provide the equations she used, because her description was too funny to recount.

9x3
3-1=2
2+7=9
remove the + sign
answer
27

So I fiigured it out, works on 9x1 up to 9x10. She said they taught it to them, only works on 9's. Still, I never got this in school. I was quite impressed not only by her accomplishment of it, but also the simplicity of the teaching method involved.
I don't think her teacher is from Kentucky though.

heres another one. If you want to know if a number is divisible by 3 you add all the digits until you get a single digit number. If that number is divisible by three then so is the original. If it's an even number then it is also divisible by 6.

eg.

is 1,527 divisible by 3?

1 + 5 + 2 + 7 = 15 (divisible by 3)
1 + 5 = 6 (divisible by 3)

But, since 1,527 is an odd number it is NOT divisible by 6, only 3.

MMM, I don't think so. A year would be September 2012. we are not there yet. So it can't be over a year out of warranty.

There were three months left in 2011, after the purchase, we are now in the forth month of this year, so 3+4=7. It's about a month out of warranty, or as Bodhi pointed out less than three weeks.
