Title: "Don't stop firing we have to stop that bomber!"

said the cv ai gunner to his bots.

"we've almost got him lads!!"

meanwhile two friendly hellcats were attacking the bombers...

"forget about that one lads these things happen! Don't stop firing! If we can hit one friendly fighter maneuvering like that we will have these bombers for sure!"

there was still one friendly fighter desperately attacking the bombers...

Don't worry lads! I'm sure the bombers defensive fire caused that friendly to suddenly explode some distance away from the enemy bomber! Keep Firing! We will hit him for sure this time!"

Ship Destroyed.

"Don't worry lads! we will respawn in 5 minutes and we will hit those bombers for sure next time!"

makes me think, got shot 3 times in a row in a fighter by cv ack last week, each time I was doing 350mph+ miles away from the CV.

this weekend I was fighting a ki61 that wanted to stay above his ack, I went for it, we were fighting at high alt.... the ack got him and not me! :D

I don't believe I've ever seen a CV AI gunner hit an enemy bomber.  I have, however, been killed by my own CV ack.

Friendly ack should be just as dangeroys as enemy ack ack/flak stop Hiding in it. Did that happen IRL
?

According to the OP, the 2 hellcats were not hiding in the ack, but were trying to shoot down the bombers attacking the CV... 

IRL, usually ship-borne AA kept firing when the CAP pursued into it.  Based on what I've read, the CAP usually but not always survived.

I got oiled by friendly CV Ack, and flamed in a 262 by friendly CV Ack this month so far.  I'd rather be over an Enemy CV than a friendly one these days.    :old:

:rofl I feel your cartoon pain. One would think the friendly ai gunners that just shot your 262 out of the sky. Could handle those low lumbering buffs you were just firing at.  :rolleyes:

My own cv ack took out my engine while I was attacking some bombers. A couple of minutes later it finally got around to hitting the bombers and I got a kill.
