Title: Up this Week: Okinawa 1945
Post by: Mister Fork on April 20, 2012, 01:34:38 PM
As the last few islands fall before the invasion of Japan, the US Military have been bogged down in a heavy battle to capture the island of Okinawa.  With the Japanese soldiers engaged in brutal combat for every foot with the US Marine Corps, the American forces are now joining to bring all remaining forces to bear on the remaining Japanese air and armoured resources on the island.  Using Armour on Okinawai has proved to be a very slow process.

With air units called over from Europe, heavy bombers begin to pound the remaining pockets of resistance.  However, intel predicts until late July until all Japanese forces are eliminated.
