Woudn't it be near if you could have a comrad pick you up when you bail. Extend the realism of the war back in the '40s. I know I would get a rush of hanging in the silk hoping I land, not to just "tab out", but to hide :noid and try to locate a buddy on "range" that could help me with the storch, or any other plane that has the space.....take me back to concrete where I can get credit for kills.
To make it even, say you are the killer of a storch or goon that has an extra person in it....you get 2 kills if they die.

If you see me in the game feel free to chat about it with me on range, PM, or what have you...(this subject as well as Fuel Dumping) :joystick:

Because waiting on a hillside for 45 minutes for a ride that may or may not come is such fun....
It would be bad for the game as it takes one person, the bailed pilot, out of participating in the game for the entire duration and it takes another person, the Fi156 pilot, mostly out of the game for the same duration.
-
You can already do this. Wait for your buddy to land. Exit to the tower. Use the .join command to join your buddy in the Storch. Fly home in the gunner position.

the thing about credits is based on what happens to your plane. if you bring your plane back to base you get full credits. if you dont then you get less. and by the way the credit for kills is given as soon as you kill something. you dont have to land the plane.

been suggested about the Jeeps and M-3's as well. Not bad for close ejections/bail-outs....but no-one would wait for 5 min for a storch, much less 20 min. :salute

Maybe it should be enabled for *all* vehicles, including boats.
If someone is on the ground and ".ef" near a landed friendly plane/gv/boat, they don't suffer any penalties and land their streaks, but it would be announced that they didn't land in a plane, but a chute.
IE: "XxPwNzErxX landed 18 kills in a chute of RaNdOm AwSomE Sauce!"
Or maybe: "TROLOLOLOL was rescued with 18 kills"
Could certainly add a level of continuity and persistance to the experience in the game.
Mind you, the storch would be most effective to do this in, due to the STOL capabilities of the airplane, I doubt landing a Dora or a 51 on most clunky terrain would be easy, let alone a 262.

if you want to land kills ... land your aircraft.
-
To be fair, if you want to end someone's streak which you have become the butt end of, shooting a chute or a pilot on the ground is a great option as well.
-
shooting a chute or pilot does nothing at all to effect your score or theirs. Its just a dick move.
-
Agreed, but its just a game right, how about making there more risk and adding to the enjoyment? :)

Flak, I see your new to the forums, I recommend you search before you post because these ideas were already discussed a thousand times.

I guess I haven't yet crawled up and shot your cockpit up and killed you with a .45 yet.
Don't worry.....it will happen eventually.
Icepac......number 1 sapper in aces high.

I love shooting a downed pilot who is giving real-time recon to the enemy on the groud, plus I like it when they blow up. :devil

A guy in a chute may be a non-combatant, but the guy on the ground acting as recon is absolutely still a combatant and deserves whatever he gets. Also, he deserves to make a nice explosion.

I was sitting in a storch hanger, launched but not moving looking at the map. I looked over to see a downed enemy pilot looking at me next to my plane. He fired his 45 and got me right between the eyes. I laughed and thought "what a great shot".
