go online on places like newegg, amazon or tigerdirect,  select a bunch of stuff, when you are ready to check out enter your card number and expiration date.   make sure you ask for next day delivery on everything you buy.  you can max that card in like 20 minutes tops.

I am curious is this your first card?  which one is it?  some cards work different.

Go to www.hardocp.com, www.tomshardware.com and similar, look for overclocking articles. Remember that the price of your first overclock attempt may be a burned card so don't come back crying if you fry something. O/C is literally playing with fire.

and in many cases the OC can net you a whopping 10-15% increase or what equals a whole 3 or 4 frames per second more.  :x Personally I never saw it as a good deal to push the components that much harder for so little gain. Your milage may vary. Good Luck, oh and if you DO blow it up, please come back here crying about. We could use the laugh   :aok

It was the programs fault, though. For sure.

He thought the fried card was too crispy so he decided to slowly bake it.

"for the week" its been running at this clock sense january.

call me when any other 6790 you know runs BF3 on ultra with 24x edge detect AA and write me back k?

And here is what i dont get. ive never fried anything. the issue with furmark as i say for the 10th time was a bad driver. the CPU ive had from 2 years ago (when i got this system) is still going strong on 3.4ghz for about half a year now.

Your cards wouldn't have fried without the furmark even with the bad driver ;)
