There are several. I have used AlacrityPC (http://alacritypc.kensalter.com/) on both Win XP and Win 7 machines. I have read good things about EndItAll (http://enditall.en.softonic.com/). Another one is Game Booster (http://download.cnet.com/Game-Booster/3000-18512_4-10913645.html), but I don't know much about it.

Thanks Bino; EndItAll was the one I couldn't remember but I will check out the other two as well. :salute

True, but it is nice to be able to kill all unneeded processes and restart them when you are done.
I use game booster, I like it.

game booster is made by a company that has been caught stealing other program's av signatures. they also use deceptive practices to make you buy their programs. I bought into it and had it for a while, it came back with a vengeance when I uninstalled it.

How so? I've uninstalled it before with no issues. What did you experience?

computer slowed to 1/2 what it was. I reinstalled it and it went back to being fast. did that several times with same results. caused me to have to reinstall windowsxp. It wasn't a virus as when I checked there were others complaints about the same.
If they are dishonest enough to steal virus signature who knows what else they will do to your system.
