be nice to be able to change the convergence range on bombers on the fly with somthing similar to 88mm fusing.

would be nice but I dont think they could shoot down airplanes at 1k like it happens in ah anyway already.

there is nothing wrong with the bombers *waves hand à la obiwan*

I... I... I.. think there's nothing wrong with the bombers...
Man, why do I feel so dizzy now? :noid

Only if it's not instant. If it's a gradual thing that takes maybe 10 seconds to change from 200 to 1000 then yes.

it would be like having to set up a convergence on 3 riflemen. it can be done but as soon as they move then the convergence is gone. it's not the same as in a fighter where the mgs are fixed. all the guns in a bomber were free moving, independent of each other, so no convergence was possible. and we are actually lucky we even have one in ah but I guess it is to make it harder to kill them.
adjusting convergence on the fly shoudnt be allowed, just like it isnt allowed in fighters.

but each gun position had a guy aiming the gun so the convergence should be automatic cause not even the dumbest gunner is going to aim where there isn't a airplane

yes but not all the guns shot at the same guy every time, did they? :salute.

semp you ever hop in a bomber and look around you see that little box
thats a internal vox for the airplane
when one guy saw the plane he would call position and the rest would look and shoot if they could so yeah they would all shoot at once

yes i know they also had radios to communicate also. but did they all have the same convergence? because I would love to hear about it. and anyway if the gunners were attacked from mutiple sides they would all shoot in difference directions. there was no synchronized convergence on any of the gunners for a stream of bullets to cross even if they were shooting at the same target.

the convergence happens cause they are aiming at the same target naturally there's no way it can't happen
think semp your standing 30 feet from me and we both have a pistol and are aiming at the same target 600 yards away we both aim at it and well at-least i hit it not sure about you
but then we move the target to 1000 yards we both re-aim and fire again same as before convergence happens just by the fact your aiming at the same target has nothing to do with multiple people or anything
its basic geometry

Yes, but they're really not aiming *at* the same target, but instead aiming to lead the target, and each will probably estimate lead differently. Of course this observation applies to the current bomber covergence as well, which is probably unrealistically coordinated. I think that the current convergence scheme is more of a game play mechanism than a simulation of reality, since small groups of bombers are more common in AH than in WWII "real life". Any enhancements should probably be considered in that light.

+1....but also have a default mode so if you did not want to fool with ranging you can just get in and fire. If you want to range you can toggle on to "ranging" then use the C and V keys to range.
