I should be taking the FAA IFR written test in the next few weeks...anyone got any advice?
-
I'm not a recent IFR rated pilot, but I would suggest hitting up exams4pilots.com and take practice tests. You can select certain subjects to focus on where you feel you are weakest as far as the knowledge test goes.

On the written, there are a lot of new GPS related questions pertaining to LNAV, LNAV+V and LPV approaches. Know them.

You don't have to worry about loran or omega navigation anymore.

7 months ago. The IR written stinks, and I took it before they updated the questions. My input wouldn't do you much good, for that reason.

I'm hitting the Gliem and exam4pilots pretty hard........checking out some other sites too.

Take the written for the CFII at the same time if you ever plan on going that route. Same questions, and the info will still be on your mind.
