Lol, I was thinking soccer when you said Derby. You got me excited for no reason. Should have thought otherwise since all the major Derby
's have just been played recently.

El Clasico was a couple weeks ago, Manchester Derby was last week, and I don't know about Madrid Derby and I got tickets to the Galaxy/Quakes Derby being played at Stanford June 30. Quakes gonna definitely win.

Ugh... I miss soccer. Since broke my leg in November ive barely touched a ball.

Unfortunately: 1. MLS Soccer sucks. 2. None of the teams are anywhere near me. I had an oppurtunity to see A.C. play club America a few years ago (before ronaldinho ( my namesake) went to flamengo. ) in Atlanta but had neither money or transportation.  *deep sigh with lone tear rolling down face*

MLS sucks? You should have seen SJ play Vancouver today. Great game except when 'Couver scored in the last 20 seconds of stoppage.

I'll just look the other way, he is still one of my favorite players, even if we did give him away. If SJ didn't trade Landon, we'd be winning everything easily.

Maybe its just me but the MLS just doesnt have the level of play in Serie A or the BPL. It seems much more brutish I guess, not as fluid.

I wonder why, maybe its the fact that BPL and Serie A are two of the 4 best leagues in the WORLD. (The other two being La Liga (Spanish) and Bundesliga (German))

Well of course there is that. but Ive noticed that the MLS seems like a retirement field for a lot of older players who arent bad but are just past their prime. (I did stop watching a few years ago though so it may have changed) Also we dont have the same amount of money going into the sport like comparing the NFL and Major League Table Tennis.

Again false, the only MLS team without a permanent home is DC United. The Quakes are building a new stadium right now ready for next season, and Houston is about to finish theirs. Also, Qwest field in Seattle was actually built for the Sounders as much as it was built for the Seahawks, the Sounders weren't just an afterthought.

Can't wait for the Epicenter to be finished.

Also, Houston's new stadium at their first practice on the field.

Second one is a rendering, but it's pretty much spot on in RL.

I never said anything about teams not having permanent homes?

Although that does look very nice.

You said they don't have the money. You can't build multi million dollar stadiums without  a bit of money laying around lol

I meant the public doesnt put the money into the game. Yes the people that own the teams put money in but the fans arent as supporting as other countries. Yeah alot of diehard fans put a decent amount of money in but you dont see the TV ads and the late night show appearances (excluding around world cup time) or big player purchases. I wish it would succeed and catch on dont get me wrong but as of now it seems like a lost cause.

Earlier this year I was called a female cat for playing soccer. There isnt the support necessary for a thriving league right now I guess is what I want to say.

Last thing I'm gonna say on this, because I don't want to make it an argument when we are on the same side.

MLS actually has the 3rd highest spectator attendance out of all leagues in the US, only MLB and NFL are higher.

What about TV views?

Im sure the NBA would be up there as well IF they had big enough courts. The same goes for hockey.
