Frame 1 would see 'Fester' score 6 victories in the Destroyer, as well as 'Hopper' scoring his 150th career FSO III/JG11 victory!
Well done Gentlemen.
Also well done, VF-17 Jolly Rogers. A pleasure to strike at the heart of the enemy together.

great pics! and great fun that frame.
dunno what it is but the Battle of Brittain frames are always enjoyable. maybe its the need to hit opponents for a solid 30 seconds to kill them with the bb guns or just the way the planes match up with strengths and weaknesses so well.

My thoughts on the "why":
The front line fields are close enough to RTB and get back into the fight quickly.
Generally (and I am saying generally) speaking the plane sets are better at the low level turn fighting, meaning that you generally don't have to spend 30 minutes climbing up to 35K and into position.
The gas tanks are small enough that neither side can CAP the others front line airfields effectively.
The fights normally start within 15 minutes of frame start and last right up to the last few minutes at H+118.
The use of the 5 min delayed DAR provides just enough info and add's in the "Fog of war" effect.
And your right the BB Gun shot outs require you to either chase him around for 10 minutes chewing on him or push in really close and chew on him.

Interestingly enough, that was one of the first 2 skins I made. I did it trying to get it in for BOB'04 (the scenario) but I didn't realize the long approval period on skins, so it never made it in time :)
It sports noseart of a German knight on horse leaping across the channel to England, as well as a depiction of the 110 spitting bullets at another plane with X'd out eyes (i.e it's dead).
Cool pics!

...I sure hope there is a U-Boat somewhere out here nearby.

See Stampf, told you not to toss the empties. They help keep the aircraft afloat :)

Look a Schnellboot. Sorry a Langsamboot or Schwerfalligboot. Schwerfalligboot missing umlaut over the a.
