Shelby was and always will be an icon. One of the most remarkable people of his generation.
Having owned one of his hotrods (1986 Shelby GLHS, purchased new), I will surely miss his input on future vehicles.
My memories of watching his AC Cobras (289 and 427) racing at Bridgehampton and Watkins Glen in the 1960s are still sharp in my mind. The Cobras crushed Corvette and Ferrari.

Its a shame. That also means this years Shelbys will be worth triple.
It will be interesting to see what his company does in the future, because he always had input on what they did to the cars even though he was 89.

I admire many people, I have a few real personal favorites.
Lost one of the few today. Celebrate success, achievement, drive and ambition. Those are what set us apart. This man was an inspiration.
