For several years a friend and I have speculated on how many fish a certain area of a certain river holds. Today, after much preparation, we are ready to find out.
The problem is that the hole we intend to fish is located ~1/2 mile below a power dam and ~ 1/2 mile above some heavy rapids. A rock and a hard place so to speak. Over the winter I bought a 12' boat, motor and trailer for $200 with the intent that it has to survive this one trip.
If I don't make contact in the next 3-4 days it could be good or bad.
Walleye and trophy Muskie are the targets. Wish us luck.

Cool. Have fun. Good luck on a nice haul.
Soon enough we'll be catching Asian Carp in every waterway on the world. :(

Some dynamite and nylon netting would have been cheaper, but good luck anyhow.

Had to come back to town for more beer (a slight miscalculation on my part).
Blew three shots at a decent musky. He hit a gold cleo but I couldn't seal the deal.
Caught two smallmouth bass they went back because they are out of season.
Ben fell in.
The ticks are heavy.
Heading back out now. Will get some pics.

That's funny. :aok
Ben ended up with a broken toe and blown out knee.
The Evinrude is trashed and the boat has a few more dents.
We caught piles of Smallies, 5 keeper Walters (no pics because we were wasted by that time )
And a 36 inch musky.
More importantly, we proved that it could be done. Pics will follow as Wife wants a steak dinner this evening.
EDIT: Fermented and Flailing sums it up...
