Despite having the 13th gutted of some of the best, we are having a great time as a squadron. As some of you know, Sax has left. What you probably don't know is, so did Ice and Thunder.
We are recruiting. If anyone is interested look me up, or any of the 13th for that matter. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)
We intend to increase the intensity in the MA, very soon! I would like to see interested pilots take part! <S> (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

i remember having 5 cons on my tail, engine smoking and seeing tracers flying past the windscreen - diving my 109 out of a mess only to see 13th tas names on the horizon - all in a neat row, plenty of alt.
it was a welcome sight - 2 cons turned back and i assume the others were slaughtered while i was limping home. never flew with them but flew to them a few times (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

It's tough to dedicate yourself to a single aircraft, to remain fixed to a wingman, to play a disciplined game of tactical flight, and still have fun. If you are seeking fun, sometimes you have to go your own way. Until, you reach the zenith of tactical flight, the fun can be a golden ring you cannot reach. Very few people can stick with this type of approach forever. Very few.
None of the guys that left were having this problem, though. They left for their own reasons, and they are all welcome back at any time.
We are developing a team of professional wingmen. Anyone that is interested in doing this right, and doing it in the P-51, should contact one of the 13th.
The list of benefits are too long to list. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/cool.gif)

Professional wingmen eh?
Whats the job pay? How many hours a week. Do I have to clean out the senior members drawers after particularly harrowing flights?
Need more info! (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

LOL Dingy!

Dingy, I used that phrase to indicate the intensity level we are attempting to accomplish. It takes dedication and long hours of intense work. The payoff is not based in monetary gains, but skill and respect.
To some, the dedication is too much to ask.

BTW, none of what I have stated here is a personal slam against anyone that has left the 13th. All of those that have left are talented, commited pilots. It is intended as an indication of how difficult it is for new recruits to commit themselves to us and what we are after.
