I have to constantly recalibrate. At times it feels like I'm on a tightrope, with it tipping left and then right. Awfully inconvenient when in a tough fight. I'm thinking of taking apart the components and cleaning them for one. The other I'm thinking maybe power management has something to do with this.
It's a full CH set up. Any advice?

powered hub might sort out your problem :)

I flew for quite a bit this morning and no problems after I changed the power settings to never. I heard Skuzzy say something about that once.

Do you have a powered USB hub? If you don't you WILL have trouble. While CH isn't as power hungry as some Saitek stuff they still pull alot of juice. If you don't have a powered hub your computer power supply must supply power for ALL your USB units as well as the MB, video card, and sound card, and fans.
I have a full CH setup as well. Mine is on a powered USB hub and has been for years and I never have had any trouble.

Yes, have a powered hub. After some thought I realized it was okay on the old computer but not this one. That's when I remembered what Skuzzy said.

Power saving options are no option for gaming. "Allow Windows shut this component off to save energy" can be a PITA when trying to find out why something isn't working like it should.
