Evening gents! I am looking for a few pilot's to fly B-24's for the 44th BG (HVY). Anyone interested please let me know as soon as possible so that we may begin getting things rolling for Oct/Nov's scenerio. Be forewarned that training for this event will begin in about 3-4 weeks after the admin stuff is hammered out.
The scenerio looks like it should be one of those Epic struggles that will be talked about for years to come. Don't miss YOUR chance to fly with us!!

Definitely need more 24 drivers. The more formations the Allies put in the air, the more unstoppable we become!

The B-24 is definitely a bomber for manly men (or for womanly women)! It is my favorite bomber.

There were more B-24's built than B-17's. The B-17 got more press, but the B-24 was every bit as much a warrior.

I will have you both added to the DGSII general board. You will be with the 44th BG Pick your sqdn once you get on the boards. After that see the thread that Guppy35 has on picking your plane name and nose art. We will probably run a few nights a week in the MA to get used to flying in formations and such and I want to experiment with the best way to work our drops. I have a few idea's I want to try. This should be some real fun and I would really like to make us into the best BG in the scenerio..

Correction that shopuld be TA. We will be flying a modified 18 plane combat box so it will take a bit of practice but I think we can do it..

If you guys want some Luftwaffe opposition, just let me know. I can see if I can get a few pie-rats out to the TA. We need to practice with the K-4 anyways :lol

Still need 4 more pilots for the 44thBG and there are still to other b24 BGs to be filled so come on gents this is a great chance to not only fly what is gonna be a great scenerio but a chance to learn a little bit about the men and machines that did this for real..

Come on gents we still need to fill 18 slots! we are taling over 150 bombers and 200-300 fighters in the skies at 1 time! If you want an epic fight then this will be it for sure! Fly with soime of the best sticks in the game and learn abit about the what it took to bring the Luftwaffe to it's knees!
The B-24 was the work horse of the airforce hauling more and flying longer then her sister the B-17, she was the most produced aircraft the allies had with 14,000+ planes built. We need 18 pilots to fill out the last 2 bombgroups, so if you think you have the skill to fly tight formations and are a top-notch gunner who can put bombs on target then this is the job for you! Don't miss out on what will be the largets scenerio to be run in years, if you missed B.O.G. then this is your chance to get in on the fun! See Fencer51 or Guppy35 to get yourself in !!

Yes we have 2 other groups that need manning see PM Fencer or Guppy to get added to forums and droup by and pick a group and a squadron. The 44th is full but like I said still need 18 more pilots!

Hey M1A1, been kinda busy this last week. Just wanted you to know that I'm fully committed to the cause and will have my ducks in a row shortly.
I gotta tell the rest of the guys that this is the hip thing right now. You won't believe the stuff that's going on in preparation for this scenario. It's mind boggling.
The level of commitment and attention to detail is truly a sight to behold.

Not a prob Mel we don't start ramping up till week after July , For now just working on unit SOP and stuff like that to get us in the "Mood". Kinda like turning down the lights and putting on the Barry White...LOL
