When you get a meal to go and they stick the packet in there with the knife, fork, spoon. It has a packet of salt and a packet of pepper. Am I the only one that thinks there should be half as much salt and twice as much pepper?
-
:rofl........Nope i agree :aok
-
No way. I loves me salt

i'd go for no salt and a lot more pepper. just make sure you are getting adequate amounts of iodine (at least 150mcg daily) from another source, like saltwater fish and seafood or kelp.
-
Since most restaurants use more than enough salt anyhow, I agree with the pepper. Wendys still has packets of pepper in the dining area, my desk drawer and my glove box never run low.
-
Are you talking about that pinch of potato flavor in their greasy salt sticks they serve at Wendy's? There isn't enough pepper on the planet to take out that taste... :noid
-
Keep the pepper and pass the salt.
-
It's time you make a stand Shuffler.
-
More salt. No blood pressure problems here.
-
Or when you get a spork instead of a real fork grrr..

If you need that much pepper to alter the taste, why buy the food anyway?

Not altering.... enhancing.

Why two is my question, why not salt+pepper in just one (at a 1:4 or 1:3 S:P ratio). Then, if we just have to have a second condiment, maybe it will be something awesome like chili pepper or parmasean cheese?

Yes but how often does one need a spoon when eating drive thru food.

Depends on which Burger King you order your Whopper from

Shuff,
Ever notice the pepper shaker has smaller hole than the salt shaker also?
Simple economics at play, pepper cost alot more than salt! Might not be the healthiest choice but it is what it is.
You can always ask them to keep the salt but add an extra pepper. :noid
I grew up in the resturant business.

Same thing for Hardees. One place apparently thought a hamburger patty should look like Chilli...
-
They should just put in a bottle of Tabasco instead. Problem solved.

Well this was from Luby's :D

What and the hell is a Luby's?! :headscratch:
-
Using typical ridiculous efficiency without any logic, McDonald's in Japan used to give you equal amounts of salt and pepper, mixed in the same little package. Good luck sorting the salt from the pepper... :D
Hey, it's more efficient! The packaging costs more than the contents.
-
Screw salt. Up with pepper. Salt use is a scam by the evil sodium industry whilst pepper is pure and Holy.

At least twice as much pepper as salt. I usually go light on the salt and end up with a 90% pepper / 10% salt mix.
-
I never use extra salt or pepper just whatever it was cooked with.
