Enough of the whinning about the puffy ack stuff. Krusty added some info on the "magic" shots that are right up there with Aegis/SM-2 BVR shots at 20k+. It sucks, fine.
Another issue to be resolved is the tendency for CVs to be parked right off shore, extending the 3k cap over the field. It is the ulimate of "capping" a field. And I know this would require modifications to existing and future maps. It creates a very arcade version where both sides spend most time ack hugging.
When moving the CV around if you select a point that is too close to shore it will not allow you to set this as a waypoint. Around fields/v-bases/ports extend this shore area/no waypoint out to see roughly the length of the CV radar ring. This would ensure CVs can shell the field, short flight to the fight but keep the ack cap off the field. You would need to allow LTVs to spawn further from the CV to ensure a reasonable trip to the base but it is all doable.

Anyone that is dumb enough to park a CV right off shore will quickly learn auto ack cannot keep up with lots of cons. B-26s will make short work of that closely-parked CV

Some think winning the war is a big deal, the nearest airfield would be less than 50 miles away (count two dar squares) Any case one set of B-26s is enough to sink a CV, using two sets is more than enough - If you can't manage then you probably already lost the base.

Instead of limiting CV ack, they need to increase 88mm ack at the fields. Make the 88mm radar assisted with targeting and quadruple the amount of them. Not only will it cut down on vulching, it will help reduce the amount of CVs parked off shore.
