I don't play minecraft, so help me out here...  Several minutes into the video I see nothing but various players carrying various objects around and sometimes jumping.  About 1 full minute apparently in a bath watching bubbles float by.

So...  What is the griefing there, and what time in the vid does it start?

if you watched the whole video through youd manage to get to an understanding on what they did. minecraft servers get very technical on the commands for stuff in world edit so what theyre writing gets very confusing to people who dont know it.

I have to DL that one for "everyday" use. :aok  Quite nice!   But...

To bad when you use as many mods as I do you can't use any texture packs :(

...THIS.  A way around it is to have your Modded MC backed up though.  But even I'll admit that it is quite rare for me to go back to Vanilla from all of the lovely mods. :bhead

I'm currently using the Technic Pack Launcher and it's proving to be quite fun.  Hack/Slash needs a little work though.

I'm running a few, ships and boats, flans, thirst, back pack and I believe a decoration mod for seats and stuff, I install all my stuff manually, infact i need to the portal mod right now before i log on, i'm curently doing hardcore with a map, made a carrier with a few planes and a helicopter and set out on my voyage, and if I die I come back as my son in the minecraft comes alive mod :D

You ever play with legos?
Ever wish you could be a lego guy in your little lego world?
That's pretty much Minecraft. Living out childhood dreams.
It's actually disgustingly fun.

There's a different griefing group I have sub'd on you tube, forgot the name, but they are pretty good, work in a large team and use glitches n stuff to be as annoying as possible :P

My favorite thing to do in Minecraft was to built TNT cannons. Building things like sailing ships and bunkers is fairly fun as well. Yes, I used to love legos when I was a kid too. :neener:

here is a few of my cannons from the older version of MC, I don't think they work properly in the release version, now.

But TNT cannons are fun, especially when you accidentally level someone's house from 150-200m away :D

if you think a game is judged upon only graphics then you have alot to learn. im 21 and i like minecraft as an easy getaway from stressful stuff. and no joke sometimes in minecraft you can jump higher than you would in doom 3 for christ's sake. the uneasy feeling when you hear the hiss of a creeper right behind your head in a pitch black mine is a feeling that is really... annoying but thrilling at times :lol

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9tgOZdJzH7I&feature=related <- im still playing this in 2012 if you think graphics mean anything

If you have little imagination - minecraft will not appeal to you. Plain and simple.

In Minecraft you can literally build ANYTHING you can think of. ANYTHING.

Want to build a Tank? Do it!
Want to build a sky scraper? Do it!
Want to build your own island? Do it!
Want to build a space ship? Do it!
Want to build a pirate ship? Do it!
Want to build something no one has ever thought of before? Do it!

Your inner architect is allowed to run rampant.

And for you graphic geeks that base a game purely on looks (CoD Generation anyone???) - Look at the video I posted with the LB photo realism

Then get the ships and boats mod and fly your crazy crap around everywhere! I have a few ships, a fleet of submarines and an aircraft carrier with ships and boats and is compatible with flans mod that I use a lot for fun

Hmm...  I've tried every bit of their instructions...and I can't get it to look like that. :(  Which bites, because that's very nice.  I guess I'll have to have another go at it when I'm more awake.  I get the feeling I'm missing something though... :headscratch:

Are you using the minecraft HD patcher after you install the mod?

:lol If that is all I was missing to get it all bumpmap-y, then yes...I am forgetting to use MCPatcher. :o  I really enjoy that 3D-ish look in the video, so I was trying to get it.  I'll re-run it tomorrow when I start again (was using Doku Craft prior to LB). I will hopefully have it working with Sonic Ethers Unbelievable Shaders v08 by this time tomorrow.  Oh to have that 3D-ish look going... :x  I'm running the 256 version.  While the RPG 512 looks nice, I find the Photo to look better. :aok

That's because the photo IS better. :P

But yeah, he also had a shader mod and one other thing (listed in video description), but I don't use them. It still looks GREAT without it.

My machine is able to support it quite nicely. :D  IF I can get it working. :bhead  I'm running 2 5770's so I know it'll look that good. :x  I will have another go at it tonight if I'm not too tired when I'm off of work. :aok
