Dunno if you guys saw this, but recently there was a fire in a shopping mall in Doha (Qatar). Tragically 19 people died, 13 of whom were kiddies in a creche, and 3 of whom were lil kiwi's from my home town.
Losing a child is hard for any parent, but I cannot imagine the loss of triplets...

I don't even want to imagine something like that happening to my two boys, five and three years old. But I am frequently reminded of how lucky we are because one of their cousins was born with a congenital heart defect. She went through several operations but recently the Doctors say she isn't a candidate for the next stage. She wouldn't survive it. Her only chance now is a heart, lung transplant but effectively she will probably die in the next couple of years.
So my boys get plenty of hugs.

"Gotta remember to hug your kids."
On the way...

I am a very fortunate man. I have been blessed with 4 daughters and a son.
Heartfelt prayers and thoughts to the poor souls who lost their lives and to the grieving families.
Always hug your kids.

I take it that they were in a type of daycare at the mall. I had read about the fire and that most of the victims were children. It bothers me that no one was able to save the children.

I cannot imagine the grief they must be feeling.
I am lucky in that I don't need to remember to hug my kids...they would never let me forget. My daughter gets really upset if her goodnight hug is not "bearish" enough for example.

2 of the dead where firefighters who went in without regard for their own safety once it was established there were kids. Gotta respect those guys.
The mall owners have been arrested.

As a member of that club from Hell, I can tell you that there is nothing worse that could ever happen to me. Parents should not lose their kids :frown:
