Yeah. Think Al Qaeda will give them back after? Even if that doesnt happen I imagine a $40,000 war winning missile would go for quite a price on the Black market.

Charlie Wilson wouldnt admit it but the CIA was extremely stupid, even for them, in the reckless way they dispersed Stingers in the Afghan war against the Soviets. Including a large late war shipment that wasnt even necessary. Luckily for us the country was a mess at the time and the shelf life of the baterrys and propellents of the early model stingers was short. Still, we ended up buying back a lot of them for about 5 times the price we paid when we "gave" them to the Mujahadeen and Pakistan military.

The current Stinger is a different animal and would be a big problem if it fell into the wrong hands. And the hands of people who hate us ARE the wrong hands.

I bet if every American family had a kid in the military we, as a country, would be much less concerned in every bush war and insurgancy that pops up. TEAM AMERICA would have much less work to do thats for sure.

And the US or other countries have never sold arms to nations that have ended up being used against civilians in the past??  :rolleyes:

I don't think any country western or otherwise can take the high moral ground on this issue. When I saw Hillary on the news, thought it was rather hypocritical of her.
