Title: water blocks for vid cards
Post by: ebfd11 on June 18, 2012, 10:53:32 AM
OK I was looking at purchasing water blocks for my video cards and I enticed on some of the blocks it says not for version 1.

Now my question is how can o determine which version of the water block do I use. Ie how can I tell which version of the video card do I have.

I have 2 GTX570hd cards by EVGA.

Any help on how to identify the difference would be a great help.

lawn, your video cards dont really run hot enough to require water cooling.  unless of course you plan to oc the crap out of it.

They cannot free up another slot by converting them either because of the DVI riser.

EK makes water blocks for them.   Without knowing your Model #, it was impossible to link the exact one.

Lawndart where were you looking for the water block?

Usually on the back of the GPU card there will be a white sticker that will say EVGA GTX570HDrev1 if its a revision. Otherwise it should say Geforce EVGA GTX570HD.

That card is marked P1263 down by the PCI connector. Either the sticker on the back will be marked as rev1 or rev1.1 or it will might possibly be marked near the PCI connector. Because its just an inductor change it probably wont be stamped on the card. Also you can call FrozenCPU for help with this one. I would just to be sure.
