I flew over to klippers house and bombed his radar, then proceded to take down his towns field guns. After a few trips home and back to klippers house, the town ack had came back up, although, the radar was still down. :headscratch: Klipper proceeded to slay me for my deeds, then he informed me "I resupplied town". I was taken back. he resupplied town? why, thats not possible. I replied "but that goes against rules posted on the HTC website." his answer, a simple lol.
Now I ask, for the record, CAN TOWN ACK BE RESUPPLIED?
p.s. yes, i know the answer, it can, because i witnessed it. but I would just like a confirmation from an authority.

Very much to my own surprise, apparently you can. I just tested it. All 8 guns in town (and only those, no other guns or structures) were destroyed. Then I ran in supplies from another base, dropped them - and got perks for it :old:

It's been that way for years.
ack-ack

ack-ack
That should teach me to recheck things more often :old:

Thanks for posting this. I was of the mindset that it was not possible either :bhead But before I go waggin' the finger at HTC :old: I would just want to make one point. In the interest of strategic AH gameplay, hitting strats in a certain order 'should' slow things down a bit for the affected country / base. Town ack would definitely be one of those things that goes without saying is important.
I remember filming the LVT port resupply glitch where one player was able to defeat the efforts of several Rook missions, due solely to the auto ack reappearing almost instantly. I thought they had fixed the whole thing, but maybe they only dealt with the ability of the LVTs to spawn in range drop and spawn again without having to incure travel time.

I believe all ack is resuplied within a certain distance (800 yds, maybe) of where the field sups are dropped. So if dropped near town, ack is resupped in town. So if you drop say 600 yds from town, roughly half town ack would come back up. At least that's how I thought it works.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

looking at the gameplay rules n such, field guns can be resupplied. town buildings can not. soft guns and hard guns, wether on the field or in town, look and act the same. they can both be classified as field guns in my book.
*little picture of collective minds buzzing

So, if I am the lone defender of an airfield base I can run supps from the field to town and bring the guns back up?

off the top of my head I thought 5 boxes would bring something up that was only just hit?

I think you would have to come from another base?

the distance is one mile. or 1760 yards. or 1.76k using in game icon range display.

field guns are down for two hours. each player dropped supply takes off 15 minutes. therefore, in theory it would take 8 player supplies to up a downed gun. tho it takes time to deliver the supplies. Also computer driven supplies are dropped at regular intervals. the computer convoys supplies take off one half hour each if the corresponding factory is operating at 100%. All of this supplying going on results in a commonly perceived notion that guns are down for about 45 minutes without additional player dropped supplies. the math can get funny if you try to put it all together. 5 player drops to bring up a downed object sounds good enough to me.
player 5 x 15 = 75 min. computer = 30 min. time to deliver = 15 min. 75+30+15= 120= 2 hours= resuppled object

Surely not? Supplies work for a field only if brought in from another field? Am I right? :headscratch:
