Title: Spray Sight.

Alright, for those who really enjoy gun sights, I have found a way that should keep my images from being reduced to junk when changing from BMP to 256 bitmap. All you need is a program I use (The one I create every sight in) and its free.. it can be downloaded here..

All you have to do is save the gunsight. Then open it in Paint.net  which is the program from the Link above.
Once the image is open in Paint.net go to File then Save AS.  Save to your sights folder as a BMP. click OK. This will bring up a small window that's called Save Configuration  inside this window select 8-bit and set the dithering level to 8
Hit OK.

Now Open the Image in Microsoft Paint and save as a 256 bitmap and you should see no loss of quality.

This seems complicated but once you do it, you will realize how simple it actually is. Yes I know its an extra step in saving the sight, but it allows for higher quality work to be made and seen / used in the game.

I will also be making a video of this here in the next few minutes. I will post it soon.

This might be a silly suggestion..but...can you not save it as a 256 bitmap and then put it up here? ..... I have always had that popup when changing a Jpeg to 256... not that I do it much though
