Title: Feria de Mataderos
Post by: rogwar on June 25, 2012, 04:44:21 PM
Took this pics yesterday at the Feria de Mataderos in Buenos Aires. Some tasty food as well.

I ate one of these chorizos. Was very good.

Nice pics. Big, nice Cemetary! People must be just dying, trying to get in.

You are aware that there are at least two enclaves of former citizens of the CSA that had left Just prior to Appomattox and went to Brazil aren't you?  The "Confederatos" as they call themselves have mostly Anglo/Welsh/Scot last names and many have intermarried with the locals since 1865.  Many of them originally hailed from TX, LA, MS, AR, and AL.

Yes in fact there is a city in Brazil where they have a festival and men dress up in civil war clothes from the south and women wear period dresses.
