While I've seen photos of a two-seat ME-262B with drop tanks, were they used by the single-seat ME-262A ?

Butcher is right. No actual photos of single seater with drop tanks. Only sketches. Twin seater yes, but single seater, rather not.

um. . .why?
It has fantastic fuel duration. . .more then enough for the number of cannon rounds it has.
-
Two seaters needed the drop tanks as the internal fuel was reduced with the addition of the second seat.
-
The ME-262 pilot manual at Zeno's lists 2 66 lb external tanks as an option.

The photo recon model the Me 262A-1a/U3 was the version that used them the most.
Some of these were even lightly armed with one gun.
