Installed my new GPU today, first ever major upgrade to my computer and WOW what a difference! It's like a whole new machine

Congratulations and you might want to blow the dust out of the CPU heat sink while you have it open. :)

Yes, I figure if I upgrade anything else a power supply upgrade will also be in store.

Funny, my 6870 was supposed to arrive today, well it did...and it was DOA.  :bhead Guess it wasn't a total disaster as I found out that it barely fits due to my heatsink which was barely half an inch to the side. Once I get the refund, I'm buying a 6850 single slot. Darn it, and I was looking forward so much for today.

you dont "need" to put your vid card in the top PCI Express slot. Assuming you have an ATX board....
