OK gents I am thinking of getting a SSD and I was wondering what the majority have right now.
I was thinking of getting either one of these 2

I know I will be shelling out a chunk of change, but I feel it is worth it. Any help would be appreciated,as I have no knowledge of said items.

Intel SSDs are the safest bet generally speaking. They won't win all the benchmarks but they're proven to be reliable and handle real world loads well because they don't rely on compression like Sandforce drives do. Google reviews and benchmarks about your choices if you have second doubts.

with all the negative reviews I read regarding sandforce drivers used on some of the different ssd brands, is what guided me toward buying/using Crucial brand-name M4 series ssd drives... Crucial to me showed to have better reliability.... My personal preference anyway
Hope this helps, good luck

I'm pretty sure it was TC that recommended the M4 series to me when I built my rig last year. I couldn't be happier. No issues and incredibly fast. I just wish I bought a bigger one. So another vote for crucial though I have no experience with the others.

I went with the Kingston HyperX 3K 120 GB for my system drive. Good reviews, reasonable price and more then enough space for all my applications.
