A buddy and I went out to play golf in this extreme heat today. Good lord it is hot. We through on sunscreen, drank tons of liquids, and stayed in the shade as much as possible. It was grueling and yet great to be out. It was my first time out this year. So it was rough in lots of ways.
When we got back to his Jeep the temperature gauge read 108. O.....M......G My strength was completely gone even though we road in a cart. Yet my sense of humor was in tact.
A lady had just started her shift when I turned in the cart and keys. I look at her and ask, "Did the Sun bleach my hair?" (It's house paint white). She starts laughing and giggling. Then asks, "What color was it when you started?" I said brown. She bends over laughing and tearing up.
Well I made someone's day

I went from 103 to 74 today. Figures since I was planning on hanging out at the pool today.

We get that every year and I really never get used to it. Miserable indeed.

Can't complain about the heat where I'm at. Went down south for the 4th, every day was triple digits. Day 1 was 115!! The pool was beautiful though :D

Spent almost the entire day outside. Most time I've spent in a pool in a while.
But did get something accomplished. We got our 1 year old Golden retriever to loose his fear of being in the water.
Having a golden that was afraid of the water. (among many other things) just wasnt going to wash. Picked him up and dropped him in then kept him there. Eventually introduced what it life to most Goldens A Ball.
First he took it in his mouth. then we put it a foot away from him and he reached for it. then a few feet more and he went for that. Eventually to the other side of the pool.
By the end of the after noon he was jumping in the pool by himself.
Havent decided yet if that part is a good thing or not yet. LOL

Heat bites the old and fat much worse than the fit and young.
