The skin management page (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/skinadmin/index.php) has been updated to show a link to the sources used to build your skins.
If you have skins, released in the game, you can now view the files used to build those skins via the link in the released section.

Are you using your game login and password, or is it trying to use your bulletin board ID to log into the page?
-
I just uploaded a skin to the new page for the first time. It worked OK except it not produce any text in the Admin Page's "Skin Name" column. I did type "418S/RCAF" in the box provided.

Well Greebo, you found an error. Apparently when you did that skin submission (mossie), the server timed out on the connection between the time of the creation of the data to submit and the actual submit.
I had to remove your submission so it could be submitted again. I have corrected the problem by moving when the connection occurs and adding more error handling to catch the problem before it actually accepts the skin.
Sorry about that.
Just my BB ID
The bulletin board ID is no longer being used. It is expecting your game login ID and password.

k thanks

Thanks Skuzzy, it works now.
Just a question, in the preface at the top of the page, it mentions updating skins, though there is no option to do so, is this going to happen in the near future? Or should I just do it the old fashioned way?
Thanks

I tried resubmitting the Mossie but after entering the file names and hitting the "submit" button it times out after a few seconds with the browser saying "Remote server or file not found".

I have been busy getting the HTC side of the submission work done. Once that is out of the way, then the following "update" options will be next.
Update submitted skin
Update rejected skin
Update current skin
In the "Update current skin", you will be able to update the non-game content instantly (i.e. all the optional content as well as the skin information).
Once all that is out of the way, then the "adoption" option will get its day.
On our admin side, I have quite a bit of work to do as well.

Dang it. I had forgotten the tables needed to be updated as well (sort of in the middle of dev and not really ready to release mode). Fixed,....I think. It is all theoretical right now.
At least the new error handling worked and it did not do a half submission, like before.
-
Tried again, but there is still something wrong. This time I got to the verification page and it said all the files had been verified. However below that it said "Skin Information Error. You skin information appears to have been lost. Contact support@hitechcreations.com about it." The skin does not appear on the admin page after I update it.
-
Ok, hopefully this is all done. I did a test submission and it worked, but it worked before for me as well.
Let's see if this is it.
-
That seems to have got it Skuzzy. Skin uploaded OK with no error messages and is showing on the admin page.
It would be nice if you could add a link from the submissions and/or verification pages back to the admin page. Just so we can check the skin is there without having to relog in.

Getting back to the main page is a bit problematic at the moment. I'll put it on the "to do" list.
Looks like the submission went fine.

I just submitted another 109f skin but it does not show on the Submitted Skins list.

I did not see any attempt to submit a skin. Did you get the "Congratulations" message? I did see you log into the management page, but I did not see any "submit" hits.
By the way, I am stuck on "hold" until this is resolved.

P.S. Sorry it took this long to get back to you on this.

All set Skuzzy.

There is a bug on the I-16 submission page Skuzzy. The files list shows the cockpit interior files I164.bmp, I164_b.bmp and I164_b_a.bmp with the first one of these listed as "Required". When I try submitting the skin without these cockpit interior files I get an error message saying: "I16.bmp: I164.bmp: Missing required files(s) from the skin submission".
-
I went through the other skins submission pages for those aircraft and GVs that I have done skins for. There are a few other aircraft with missing files on their pages.
The Boston lacks "bostongn.bmp", this is the third main exterior skin file and a required file for any skin.
Similarly the A-20G lacks the required file "a20ggn.bmp". Also on this old AH1 skin there are patches applied to the wing for the US insignias which are needed to make a good looking skin. The files for this are "marking.bmp" and "marking_a.bmp".
The FM-2 and TBM also lack these wing insignia files. For the FM-2 the file names are "fmstr.bmp" and "fmstr_a.bmp". For the TBM it is "marking.bmp" and "marking_a.bmp".
-
Ok Greebo, I fixed what you listed.
The I16 is the only plane we are allowing the cockpit to be skinned as it is the only open canopy plane. It should not have been required.
I cannot find an FM2_a.bmp file in the original skin, and none of the submitted skins has one, so I did not include it.
Thank you for the help.
-
Sorry about the FM2 file, I noticed the "_a" file on the TBM just before leaving for work and just assumed it was the same on the others.
I uploaded the I-16 successfully.

Updated with ME410, and the new JU87's.
-
Found a couple of minor bugs on the Stuka submission pages.
"bumpmat.txt" isn't included in the files list on the Ju 87G-2.
There are two Ju 87Ds on the drop down list, "ju87d2" shouldn't be there.

Right. It was a typo which caused both problems. Fixed.
