lol.....yea that looks safe
-
Tandem trailer setups are the most unsafe setup you can run on the roads.
-
I just saw the front wheel come off the ground, and pictured him loosing control and running into the crowd
-
I agree with mbailey, way too many people way too close to the trucks.
-
They're all getting lung cancer.

This. That's just an accident waiting to happen.

sorry but i disagree, doubles or triples are far more likely to sway back and forth during high winds or around corners, the back trailer in a tandem set up is just like it was hooked to a fifth wheel on the Tractor no dolly like whats used in doubles or triples. and yes i drive truck, 22 years and counting accident free.

its Crazy drag racing them

Whoever pollutes the air the most wins!

A diesel tuned for racing will puff.

That.............. is sofa king awesome!!!! :O :aok

Those crazy frenchmen have been doing that for years. It's a huge truck show in Quebec. Nothing like twisting a few driveshafts into pretzels.
The crowds are a little close aren't they? But those 'b'-trains they're pulling are extremely stable on the highway, have a smaller off track; so they go around corners a lot easier...and.....once ya know what you're doing....not too bad to back up. (well, only when you have 2 trailers)
Now those A trains....(fed-ex, ups and the like the pups connected with a dolly) those freaking things should be banned
-
You guys think these top dog countries got here by being SAFE?
---
But really, these guys obviously know what they're doing. Just like the folks at air shows. Guess what? Doesn't matter HOW FAR you put folks at an airshow, they could ALL die but I don't see anyone getting their g-string in a knot over that.
Oh damn...I'm doing that honesty thing again where I point out the double standards.....
This is real life....accidents happen. With a load that heavy, the ONLY way that truck would end up in that crowd is if he managed to come unhitched from the trailer and you can bet your oscar that they've got it hooked better than your standard trailer.
.....Are you guys American? I hope not....REAL Americans live for adventure.....well....they used to anyways....
Now everyone is either old or fat...and the ones that aren't wear girl jeans, over-sized jackets and stupid hats with tags on them....
There's few people who have that good ol' American "This is dangerous and that's why it's fun" mentality....and the crazy thing? This isn't all that dangerous....

Yeeeeeup...I need to quit drinkin' and playing WoT...puts me in a bad mood.

Heh at first I read 'trucks with loads racing' and I was thinking now THERE's a concept. Cornering with loads at high speeds. But meh, dragracing like this is just like a light version of tractor pulling.

I agree with you marine, but sometimes with some activities it is decided by those involved that a line has been crossed.
In the mid 80s when group B rally cars were deemed too fast to race, the drivers also all signed a petition demanding that they would not race any more until the crowds got under control. This is what those conditions were and I believe the drivers were right.

That Darwinism trying to take place lol. :lol

I remember watching Great American Truck Racing in the late 70's, early 80's. When it started, they were regular trucks right off the Interstate. As the series progressed, the trucks became more modified. Unfortunately, it didn't catch on and the series died after a few years. But it was cool while it lasted.

T'was the Portugese who were the worst. Played chicken with rally cars for years until the inevitable happened.

In response to rpm......
I remember NASCAR racing when the teams actually drove a car that resembled stock.

:O What kind of idiot stands in the middle of a road when there is a race car coming down it?
I mean... just... whuh?! Vehicle, on the knife edge of control driven by a guy who is focusing all his attention on not spinning/sliding out of control on the road while going as fast as possible. And you want to stand in his way?!
...
Humanity, you have lost my faith.
