WTG Rich i salute your son for wanting to serve his country, my son enlisted into the Navy shortly before he graduated and he wants to be a Corpsman, i was never so proud of him when he decided to Join the Service, His grandpa was a Combat engineer during the Korean war. My Son ships out 12/12/12 I'm going to miss him but at the same time I'm so very proud of him for his choice to protect this country. Congrats again :salute

Thanks to all. It was a good deal when I joined back in the '70s and now? It cant be beat. Joining the services is a good career move. You want for nothing, free dental/medical, get to take college, save for even more college when you get out, room and board. And its an adventure! Looking back they were the best 4 years of my life. I meet the youngsters OTW to Basic training while working a uniformed detail at a major airport and am always impressed by the caliber of young men and woman joining up. These arnt guys and gal's signing up cause they have nothing going for them ; They are exactly the opposite. Young people of good character hungry to improve themselves and to protect their nation.
I was proud to be one and I'll be proud to be down at LackLand again when my boy graduates. :salute

Congrats on your son enlisting. I salute :salute any young man or woman with the gumption or the kahones to enlist to serve and protect. Remember AF Boot camp is just 10 percent physical and 90 percent mental.
