I have no problem with this maneuver performed by a Lancaster, except that it is done while in formation. That and the drone leash holds awful tight despite being so long.
Skuzzy, you requested that films should be hosted on this bulletin board. Since this forum is the only one that you can post films on, the thread is here.
Please fix the ridiculous drone leash so that stuff like this cannot be done without consequences. It is a fairly common thing to make a tight turn and lose your drones and yet a high yo-yo and 180 degree turn keeps them? :huh

I actually asked for films to be posted on the bulletin board in the "Films and Screenshots" forum. This does not belong there.

So small bits of lag can cause the drones to warp back to you when they would normally fly away and die?

With the caveat that I can't see the film on an IPad..... I would observe that the start of a high yoyo (bleeding speed in turn climb) deploying full flaps and performing an e sapping combat turn/Chandelle will always keep drones attached on all bombers. It is the quickest way to turn a set of bombers around for a 2nd run on target albeit that calibration accuracy is actually worse at full flapped 125mph than a steady 300mph.

I can't look at the film now but your description sounds like a good low G energy saving maneuver to make a small radius turn without losing the drones.

OK I saw the film. A Lancaster 3K away turned at 150 mph and didn't lose it's drones. I don't see a problem.
