Title: Airplane propeller ceiling fan

But I just added an electric motor from a mobility scooter, and the prop is now moving!

Its spinning pretty slow right now. It has a 24 volt 6 Amp motor, but at this time I only have a 12 volt 2 amp power supply. I plan to add a 24 volt 10amp power supply with a speed control to get things up to speed. I’m thrilled that the motor is completely silent.

It isn't uncommon to have a fan that way, people run the fan opposite all the time, with different trains of thought of the benefits. If he wanted to reverse it, he could either rotate the rotors (not sure how he has it set up) or depending on the motor, just swap the wires.

In winter it should blow up, in summer blow down. :D

Actually, I don’t. I bought a 6 foot wingspan Citabria without engine or radio for $2 at an estate auction. I stuck a prop on it and hung it in the garage.

You fool! You missed the perfect opportunity to create some realism by installing that thing in the nose of your simpit.

Why would want to blow hot air down in the summer?
